I am a consultant gynaecologist at the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, working from both Lister Hospital in Stevenage and Hertford County Hospital. I make up a part of the senior clinical staff and continue to run regular ‘on calls’ at Lister Hospital for both gynaecology and maternity. I am a registered clinical and educational supervisor for junior doctors. I am also the lead for risk management in gynaecology in my NHS role. I conduct all the direct clinical training in this role to the highest standards.
Although appointments are limited and waiting lists may be a bit longer, we endeavour to see to you in a timely fashion. If you happen to see a specialist nurse or a registrar instead of me in an NHS Clinic, you can be assured that they will be appropriately trained to manage your case and if not they will seek my advice.
I have developed the first and only specialist endometriosis service in Hertfordshire, which is based at Lister Hospital. Endometriosis Hertfordshire is a Nationally Accredited BSGE Endometriosis Centre. This is now the biggest Endometriosis Centre within the region. I work with a team of highly specialised consultants here to provide an advanced level of care for all forms of endometriosis.
I run a very busy endometriosis and pelvic pain clinic at Lister Hospital and conduct the more complex operations from this site, sometimes with other specialists. I also run a general gynaecology clinic from Hertford County Hospital, one of our satellite hospitals.
